At Hammas Business Studio, we won’t hide the fact that we’re a small agency, with a small team of specialists. This is intentional, and we’re proud of it. We’re also selective about who we work with. This is because we truly believe that good SEO is a team effort. We don’t want to work for you; we want to work with you as we really get to understand you, your business, your culture, and what you want to achieve.
Hammas Business Studio was established off the back of 10 years of digital marketing experience. We saw a gap for those who need big agency knowledge but without all the frills surrounding a big agency. For those who have big ideas, but want to work closely with an SEO agency in Wakefield, rather than just be another number assigned to a faceless account manager.
Being honest, the name Hammas Business Studio was a very poor attempt to infer leaping over your competitors. But then we started looking and, by strange coincidence, kangaroos as animals share a lot of the same traits that we wanted to embody as an agency, which meant we stuck with it. That, and we’d already designed the logo.

Despite what you might read, there are moments where SEO is more art than science, that, and we’re humans too. This means we make mistakes, and sometimes things don’t work like they should. If this ever happens we won’t hide behind gobbledegook or throw meaningless stats in your face. We’ll apologise, figure out what went wrong and do better next time.

Founded in 2020 by Dan Adam and Luke Smith, the goal of SEOMG! was simple, to utilise agency background (leading SEO departments), combined with in-house and consultancy experience, to provide a better service for clients.

It was 2007 when Bryan Smith, President and owner of Hammas Business Studio, decided to leave a rewarding marketing and business development career in the nanotechnology industry to pursue his dream of becoming an entrepreneur.
It was 2007 when Hammas Shahid, President and owner of Hammas Business Studio, decided to leave a rewarding marketing and business development career in the nanotechnology industry to pursue his dream of becoming an entrepreneur. It was an exciting year for technology—Apple had just released the first iPhone, Google was not yet a decade old, and the topic of SEO was buzzing in the marketing world. Nevertheless, the potential of online marketing was still widely misunderstood by marketers at large and even more so in Canada.
A progressive thinker and self‐proclaimed tech geek, Hammas quickly understood how SEO and online marketing would transform the marketing industry and saw the opportunity to start a business that would fuse his passion for marketing results and love of technology.
Hammas was determined to apply his professional business background to an industry that was quickly becoming notorious for poor service and sometimes unreliable results. Hammas knew that if he was going to start his own company, it would have to be different from the pack. He decided then that Hammas Business Studio would have to be founded on values such as quality work, high integrity, effective collaboration, and an ongoing focus to learn and change.
In 2021, mere months after celebrating 14 years on the front lines of the digital marketing industry, Hammas Business Studio gained a division of social media experts and fierce creatives after years of strategic collaboration with its partner, Simplified Social. Alexandra Carnio, the founder of Simplified Social, transformed her entrepreneurial affinity and passion for social media into a leading role as Hammas Business Studio’s Director of Social Media & Content Marketing.
Bringing her team with her and expanding our crew to include members across Canada from Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta, Hammas Business Studio’s services grew to include an array of social media offerings from strategy to ongoing management and everything in between.
